About us

APISROM started its journey in 2005, with the acquisition and processing of honey and wax as its object of activity. At the end of 2008, we inaugurated the first factory, which was designed with two distinct lines: one for the processing of bee honey and one for the processing of wax. In 2017, we started the construction of a new company headquarters with a built area of over 2000 square meters, which includes a processing hall, equipped with the most modern installations for packaging honey, as well as an administrative space.

We managed to develop and became known because we always put quality and respect for our customers first. From the desire to come to the market with new products, every year we invested in modern and up-to-date technology, implementing the HACCP food safety quality management systems and then ISO 22000. Following the continuous improvement of the quality system, we switched to the standard IFS Food, obtaining certification from TUV Austria. This standard is one of the standards under the umbrella of the international brand IFS (International Featured Standards) and which is recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative).

In order to meet the needs of all categories of customers from all over the world, we have also obtained ECO, Halal and Kosher certifications. Halal certification guarantees Islamic religious consumers compliance with the precepts of the Islamic religion and ensuring an increased level of hygiene and product safety. Similarly, the Kosher certification, which respects the precepts of the Jewish religion. The ECO certification demonstrates the fulfillment of the requirements for the processing of ecological products from ECO certified beekeepers.

Quality

Apisrom has implemented the HACCP system since 2008, and later it was certified according to the new standard for food safety, IFS FOOD – International Featured Standards, by TUV Austria.

As a result of fulfilling the requirements stipulated by the European legislation regarding the processing and marketing of products of animal origin (honey is cataloged as such), Apisrom obtained the H20 EC authorization, sanitary-veterinary authorization for intra-community trade.

The honey taken from the beekeepers is checked both organoleptically and through laboratory analyses. Appearance, consistency, color, smell and taste are considered. From a physical-chemical point of view, humidity, acidity, sugar content, HMF, as well as the presence of antibiotic residues are determined.

Also, through the microscopic analysis of the pollen, we have the possibility to accurately determine the floral assortment from which that honey comes. In addition, throughout the technological flow, honey samples are taken for analysis, both from the formed batches and from the finished products.

We are always with beekeepers, participating in national and international fairs and exhibitions. Thus, over time, the relationship with them became one of partnership. They are the ones who offer us the best quality honey, honey that, processed and packaged at APISROM, reaches consumers in the country and abroad. We are present on the market with a complex portfolio of products targeting the European market as well as the Romanian HoReCa and Retail market. Apisrom’s values are performance, quality, innovation and respect for consumers and business partners.
